A Tale of Two Missiles.–The Intervention that Worked.–The Center of the Universe.
Newsletter 8
Dear readers, this is my new “reading, watching, thinking about” feature. Like many of you, the only thing I’ve been reading, watching and thinking about is the war next door in Iran. This week’s newsletter is more like three vignettes: the first is about the two missiles neutralized by NATO in Turkish airspace; the second is revisiting the notion of Serbia as “the intervention that worked” (and how we ought to define “success”); and the third is a conversation with a friend who was in prison in Iran.
I am trying to keep most of my work un-paywalled, but I have decided to paywall this one. This is a reader-supported newsletter, which means I rely on paid subscribers to keep it going, so consider becoming a paid subscriber today if you can! I am grateful to each and one of my subscribers for their continued support and encouragement.
