Event Announcement: New Internationalist News Club, November 13–ONLINE

This Thursday, November 13th, I’ll be speaking at the New Internationalist’s News Club. Earlier this summer, I contributed a piece about the UN and Ukraine to their UN issue, The Disunited Nations: The UN at 80. My piece, titled “Trading Rhetoric” is about the weakness of the UN as revealed by the war in Ukraine (and the Balkans before that). I will be interviewed by one of the New Internationalist’s co-owners, Kit Dorsey, about how I came to be doing the work I do, the war in Ukraine, the Balkans, proposed UN reforms, prospects for peace, and so forth. If you attend, you’ll also have the chance to ask me questions.
